North-west of Prague in the center of Czech farmlands along the river Ohre, the Továrna Brewery runned by Jakub Veselý is creating really high quality beer with a modern twist.
While tasting the whole beer range, more than one of them clearly gave me a vague association to Stone Brewing without being a copy, but definitely with a personal style. But It’s easy to see were the influences are coming from.
Classic Czech lager with generous and bold hoppyness.broad and medium long with well balanced bitterness.
We’re really using this old style of beer way to little! Together with the Nordic cuisine or in the winter season there are few beers that are better suited! Salzberg 12° is in equilibrium with malt, caramel and lingering hop without feeling to heavy!
Protector IPA 15
This well crafted IPA is on the border to be labeled DIPA, especially when during blind tasting associations to the Ruination DIPA where made. So the choice of name is very logic if You do the Stone’s recognition. This IPA is very czech in style, when it is despite very brutal in taste and bitterness still a notable smoothness. It’s highly enjoyable just on its own but works well with BBQ and porky dishes.
