Sixteen years ago, 2001. Five years after Sweden joined EU, Systembolaget launched a beer called God Lager, The name, the label and the beer was really something new. In U.S the Craft-era had just start rolling, but in Sweden no one had yet heard about IPA, DIPA och NEIPA!
God Lager which means translated “Good Lager” had a more bodied taste then the machine lagers that were offered all ready. And the succes where a fact! Today Nils Oscar is the most selling craft beer and they have a broad portfolio of well made craft beers. They also built a distillery where they produce vodka and gin.

Introduced to the market in 2001. Caracterised as a Dortmund lager with malty taste and fresh bitterness. Still after 17 years it holds its position as one of Swedens most selling lager. Utterly well balanced with high drinkability.
