Bear in mind the fundamental changes the Swedish brewing tradition has been undergoing. From mead brewing to the medieval beer brewing, to the peak in early 20th century, where every larger farm with reputation brewed their own beer. This peak were followed by a heavy backlash with the sobriety movement where the production were concentrated to licenced brewers in the county. In late 20th century the production were concentrated to a hand full large Brewers as Pripps (Carlsberg), Spendrups, Åbro which were the dominators, spewing the market with a conformed, shy tasting machine lager.

The craft era is once again transforming the brewing culture, and we are facing a supply of experimental and diversified beer. The swedish craft scene is broad, and international recognized for being innovative and  highly qualitative!
